Robin Carnahan has now aired two deceitful TV ads, both attacking her opponent for a bipartisan vote in 2008 that she has admitted she would have "absolutely" supported.
On July 29, just days before she began airing false ads attacking Roy Blunt's vote on the 2008 emergency economic package, Robin Carnahan was caught on tape at a fundraiser in Santa Fe, New Mexico, stating her belief that the legislation Blunt supported was "absolutely" necessary to prevent a worse economic disaster.
Robin Carnahan has come under fire by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Kansas City Star for her "phony" opposition to the legislation. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has pointed out the hypocrisy of Carnahan's attack, pointing out this is legislation she would have "absolutely" supported.
