I stare at her angelic face as she sleeps, wishing that she'd be mine forever.
"Stop staring at me" She says keeping her eyes closed, holding in a smile.

"Sorry, You.. You're just so beautiful" I tell her sincerely, holding her closer.
She opens her eyes, and smiles at me. "Well, You don't look so bad yourself" Macy laughs.
That laugh.. It's just so beautiful. If I could, I would listen to it for hours and hours.

She plays with my dogtag, and looks deeply in my eyes.
"Nick, I have to go.." She tells me.
I look down on my hands and sigh. "You're not staying for breakfast?" I ask her.
"Sorry... I told Cody I'd be home today.." Macy mumbles, looking away and stands up.

Before she leaves, I grab her hand and smile at her. "I love you" I say, knowing that this was the last time that I would be able to tell her that. Macy nods and leaves without saying anything.

A tear rolls down my cheek, and I take out a box filled with pictures of My family, Macy and I.
I take a piece of paper out, and started to write on it.

"Dear Momma, Dad, Joe, Kevin, and Frankie, I'm sorry I never told you guys. I didn't want to worry you, or hurt you in any way. It was for the best. I just wanted to let all of you know that I love you, and don't worry about me because I'm in a better place now.

Love,
Nick"

I sighed, and took out a seperate picture of Macy and I.
I flipped it over, and started writing on the back.

"Dear Macy, You made me the happiest man in the world for the last two months. I just want to thank you for that, and when I told you I love you, I meant it.

Love,
Nick."

I let go of the pen, and dropped the ring in the envelope along with the picture. I spread everything out on my bed, and walked out of the house.

"You're a good man, Nick" My doctor tells me.
