Shocking,biting Humbuckers,with distortion,ruin this great Classic.
Same for,say,the intro of Sweet Jane on R & R Animal- Wagner/Hunter.
-
oddly enough i like this version better, possibly because i havnt heard it as many times
-
the studio version of this song is acoustic feces

@LukeSpencerGH I AGREE. DON;T HATE IT JUST GLAD TO KNOW THERE IS A STUDIO VERSION. FRAMPTOM COMES ALIVE WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE WITH THE VERSON ON VH1 CLASSIC'S HEADLINER'S A CLOSE SECOND. I WISH I COULD FIND THAT ONE

@bvansenu I LOOKED FOR YEARS UNSUCESSFULLY
-
@Mitsy1212 YEAH HOW CAN WE LOVE A SONG FOR 35 YEARS AND NEVER HEAR A STUDIO VERSION?
-
@LukeSpencerGH it is too slow..lol...as are alot of the early post pie albums by peter...try to find the studio of something's happenin...u should see the same...pete is an awesome guitarist though...i love his work w/ the pie and his solo stuff..i hated the follow up to the live album though...

@alsaxe1 Yeah i'm not saying it's the worst thing i've heard or that I hate this, just saying I can see why the live version is the more populer one. This one is a bit too slow for me and just doesn't seem to have the energy that the live version does. However it could just be that It's because I heard the live version first and that's the one i'm used too...

@LukeSpencerGH i agree. I"m a big frampton fan but this version is a bit "Off". The guitar sounds like a chain saw on this....Not to take anything away from peter...it's just that i don't like the sound on this version...the same for the studio version of "Something's happening"...
I'm almost 51 yrs. old & had never heard the studio version of this one. Great!

Wow, this is so strange to hear. I was almost certain that a studio version of this song didn't exist!
