As an STi owner, I still would love to own an M3. Both cars are in complete different classes. STi is obviously a more aggresive type car with power at the wheels and the M3 is more of a sexy higher class performance car that digs chicks regardless if it looses to an STI or not!! I like both and wouldn't mind have both in my garage!!
