I think this little series is quite interesting. I find the concept of choosing a trick to be incredibly difficult. It's hard to come up with a trick all on your own and yes you need to find a trick that is absolutely meaningful to you or you won't be able to perform it convincingly. Bless all these talented men. Those who speak ill of others can't comprehend their greatness! I feel blessed to have seen these videos.
Eric does not give a hoot what the drunk Simon really think...he's been asking that same question since he was 2 years old. Don't you love it when magicians want to elevate "tricks" and its performance to some deep philosophical crap...that's like two plumbers describing the beauty, design and philosophical implications of the toilet bowl...also crap! Here is the lesson of this 10 min diatribe, better to do and avg. trick with 100% conviction than some's else effect that you are not sold on.
