MASA Mega Event Spring 2008: Latrun Amphitheatre, Israel

Highlights and clips from the MASA 2008 Mega Event held at Latrun (Israel's Tank & Armoured Corps Museum). This clip includes the Prime Minister's speech (with subtitles) being interrupted by student's parading a banner in front of the stage. I'm in the last clip playing violin on stage while everyone is singing the National Anthem (Hatikva). I know the sound quality is not that great, but it's a combination of my average quality camera and the event's awful speaker system.

MASA is a program started by Ariel Sharon as follow up to the short 10 day trips called "Taglit Birthright" that have brought over 125,000 young Jewish adults to Israel so far. Taglit Birthright offers a "taste" of Israel while MASA offers a full in depth experience lasting 6 to 12 months depending on the program.

In it's 1st 4 years, 25,000 students have participated in MASA Programs - 8,000 in 2008. For more info, go to: www.masaisrael.org
