This happened in a very trendy and very GAY Manhattan neighborhood. These kids are probably from a nearby high school. NYC public schools have been known to send some of the worst kids in their system to schools located in some of Manhattan's nicest neighborhoods. (For example, toney Gramercy Park has the zoo-like Washington Iriving High School in its midst. I'd regularly see "students" from that school smokin' weed at 8:00 am in Stuy Sq. Park.)
