@NWONoWorldOrderNWO, I have some Arabic learning books, it's fun writing in Arabic but I write super slow lol, I studied Spanish for a while too when I was younger

@Troy62486 a dozen suras is good bro. I have been Muslim for a year and 12 days and I can only recite Al_Fatiah, Al Falaq, AN-Nas,AL-Iklas,AL-Kuwthr, and Trying to learn my first real one Ya-Seen. Ive been going to an Islamic school (Im in the kindergarten class with the 6 year olds but hey...) to learn Arabic. I think it is much easier for Arabs to memorize the Qur'an than non Arabs. May Allah Subhannah Wa Ta'ala increase our knowledge.

@cyberpolice9000, I have learned a tiny bit but I'm kind of lazy, but when reading Quran it's mostly just memorization, I know people who have memorized the entire Quran but dont really know Arabic, most Muslims aren't good Arabic speakers unless they're from an Arab country, lived/studied/worked in an Arab country, or studied at a madrassa that teaches Arabic, most Muslims in the world are of South/Southeast Asian origin as well and speak languages like Indonesian, Malay, Bengali, Urdu, Punjabi

Are you learning Arabic? I would assume that majority of Muslims would at least try to learn Arabic if the consensus among Muslims is that the Quran is truly holy only when read in Arabic.

@cyberpolice9000, oo I've read the entire Quran translation in English, only recited 10 juz in Arabic though, I've only memorized about a dozen surahs

Whatever it is, there are passages that do (or can be interpreted to) promote violence, and however frequent, they are exploitable and are exploited by people who are (or perceive to be) desperate. I don't specifically know which passages those are; I've never read the Quran apart from a few passages people have included in Youtube videos.
