I sell cars to make a living. On a compact car we have $1,200 profit. The dealer has to pay for rent, sales commission, manager salary, lot boy, detail boy, and what's left for dealer to make money or us sales guys? Very little, and we always have people who wants $1,000 off. When I ask them to work at their job for free they got sock. But they don't realize that's what they ask us to do.

Coming from a prior car salesman, this shit happens all the time. If you can't afford it, don't expect the dealer to wiggle it in your budget. Simply buy what you can afford!
