Saito X Kaoru works too
1) Kaoru is a teenage girl making a living and supporting 3 borders. she is strong, but she's doing the job of a 30 year old man (or woman)
2) she needs a strong man like Saito who can bring a sense of calm and stability. her life is too crazy for her to handle
3) like Megumi, Saito has a steady (and high) income
4) Kenshin isn't assertive enough. Saito would make sure that there was a dynamic of respect. Kenshin is like Ashley Wilkes, Saito is like Rhett Butler =P

Im with darkness, Kenshin X Megumi works much better.
1) Megumi understands him, she’s had a hard life too Kaoru does not
2) she respects him, Kaoru treats him horribly
3) she would give him some friggin space and be supportive
4) Megumi is a doctor, she makes bank.

She does tease Kaoru but in the end Kenshin ends up marrying Kaoru and they have a son, Kenji. So yes, Fox & Rooster belong together.

She's playing 'Hard To Get', kinda teasing Sano...and he does the same, so in my opinion they're a perfect match.
