The T-Rex mode looks good (if zoid-ish). Unique transformation! The robot mode has some kibble issues and weird-looking legs. Recommended overall though!

  • i agree about him being the weakest classics figure. his g1 version still is my all time favorite, although i am thoroughly impressed by his binaltech mode. i plan on getting the animated version and of course the holy grail..masterpiece grimlock! one feature i wish he will have in his masterpiece version would be the removable mouthplate in his robot mode, revealing rows of razor sharp teeth so he can munch even more metals lol good reviews as usual. thanks

  • He's one of the weakest classics figures but not THE weakest of all. That title goes to the Ultimate Battle version of Optimus, and you'll see why in my review of him eventually!

  • You really are a great and logical reviewer!!!!

    I enjoy all your videos!!!

  • I like this toy but I think I will wait for the animated Grimlock.

There was an awesome fan made one with this head on a repainted beast wars megatron body.

Hasbro should make one like it. Call it a movie toy even.

Great review as always. you show case the toys very well.

  • i only have jetfire classics im debating if i should get this but im getting mirage also

  • the dude sounds like he's on a documentery on PBS

  • i think hes british

  • you sound like a documentary

  • A flawless mold for any dinosaur character, although it just doesn't scream Grimlock to me!The Overkill repaint just fits better to be honest,it's as if the mold wasn't designed to be Grimlock...

  • @illiniguy34 Nope,because Tryticon is a GIANT,Decepticon City,if you will.The Decepticon equivalent of Scramble City(Metroplex).

  • he does look like a zoid in beast mode, much like the beserk fury, plus the challenging transformation and how his gun also has an energon bayounet for melee combat. i can see him doing to any decepticon the same thing revenge of the fallen megatron did to optimus in the forest battle, or even using that tail whip like the tail whip of transmetal megatron the gem makes a good spark crystal, too. i am definately getting him from amazon

  • they shold have made a voyager class grimlock

  • the back becoming the top kinda ruins the whole aspect of it being a universe figure doesnt it?? and the fact that his face goes in half xD

  • I can imagine this mold getting repainted into Trypticon. If they did Overkill, then there will definately be a genernations Trypticon.
