Nicolas Bacri's Cello Sonata (1994)
* Just in time for the Holidays, this cello sonata, stylistically resembling Schnittke, is full of anguish and drama. Having heard much of Bacri's orchestral music, I personally think his piano chamber works are his greatest creations.

Nice Schnittke atmosphere, with some influence of Shostakovich (?)
