@spenglerX Average people do not want to run corporations, but average people do have the have a voice in a democratic republic. They have the right to demand tariffs on goods manufactured by cheap third world labor and shipped back to the U.S. That activity alone is a job killing, economy killing practic. Tariff are allowed by the constitution and all the founders were protectionist. Free trade is a theory, that has never been implemented anywhere in the world.

Chinese do not want to live in Chinese neighborhoods, rich folks live in gated neighborhoods. You are saying that these folks do not want to choose where they live, and they are being coersed into their lifestyles. Now the natural process of globalization must occur in order stop such behavior. Nationstates serve the same purpose as the neighborhood.

The coersive element in that, is the political process of globalizaiton. Free Trade has never existed and cannot exist as long as there are nation states.
