This song is in the Justin Guitar Beginners Songbook. In this lesson I show you a real super easy version and one pretty close to the version recorded by Johnny Cash.

This is a Stage 6 song for those doing the Beginners Course on the web site - and you'll find it on Page 122 of the Songbook.

The Justinguitar Beginners Songbook contains 100 songs specifically structured for beginners and there are 10 songs for each stage of the Beginners Course. See the web site for the beginner lessons and more info including full song list, sample songs and order details.

Taught by Justin Sandercoe.

Full support at the justinguitar web site where you will find hundreds of lessons on a wide range of subjects, and all the scales and chords that you will ever need! There is a great forum too to get help, no matter what the problem.

And it is all totally free, no bull. No sample lessons, no memberships, no free ebook. Just tons of great lessons :)

To get help with this lesson (and for further info and tabs), find the Lesson ID in the video title (like ST-667 or whatever) and then look it up on the Lesson Index page of justinguitar.com

Have fun :)

  • Hey Justin, This is Pranab from India, an absolute beginner. You are a great teacher. I have great respect for you mate. The number of people on this planet who choose and dare to place the passion to help others above money is really really less. You undoubtedly are one of those. Wish you success in every pursuit of yours.

  • I've learnt a hell of a lot from some of your video's in the past Justin, your an exellent teacher and decent feller for doing all this for free. Cheers.

  • Thank you for the videos.

  • Your a good singer to brah.

  • I would suggest that instead of moving the C chord up 2 frets to make the D chord, to just play the D chord at x5777x It has the same notes as the traditional D major chord and sounds closer to what Cash is playing. It's also a lot easier to play for beginners than the traditional D major chord xx0232
