  • hey i have a good idea for Gm for how to beat fords next lighning....rebuild the syclone... or use the same engine and put it in a silverado single cab

  • @1969Stingray427 im aware of that, i own a ty.

  • My 99 Lightning gets 22 hwy and prolly 16 city..... i dont know where u get ur 10 mpg from.... Mines also pullied with full bolt ons and juice.........

  • @gtrxxfiendxx Turbo's use the exhaust which takes zero horsepower and the Lightning is supercharged which takes horsepower to spin it ( parasitic drag ). The Syclone has less frontal mass ( less wind resistance ) and is lighter and smaller than the Lightning. AWD does help with traction down the track, it's just a matter of increasing boost and tune as needed to compensate for the extra drivetrain. European sports cars use awd also.

  • @1993hondaaccord i agree 100% but the lightning isnt practical at all, 10 mpg and that isnt even towing anything. and if your in nh then you might of heard of snow, at least the cyclone is 4wd. the lightning wouldnt move much up there. it just shows that trucks built for speed are almost useless. either way they are both pretty cool but i dont think i would buy either of them, i need a truck that can work and drive in the snow and back woods. im in indiana, so we get some snow too

  • @coalandnuclear Well, i don't know about you... But if i want a truck for more then just speed, then i would want a full size truck. I don't know where you are from, but here in nh if we need a work truck we buy full sized.

  • @1993hondaaccord how is it more practical, its 2wd

  • @shupster369 Doesnt mean its GONNA BE true.. But it SHOULD BE!

  • @Kdubslugga just cuz the engine is bigger doesnt mean its gonna be more powerful....their are other facetor ie heads cam intake etc etc

  • @MunkyBuis - this was my Syclone. it had a lot of mods to run 122mph in the 1/4. Did a best of 126mph trap speed.
