  • Ragwool 2 inch is less expensive and use burlap to cover

  • Yes, you could use ragwool, but I already had the fiberglass. Burlap would work, but that is what was used on the fiberglass prior to this project and did not age well. It showed dust and puckered after about 3 years.

  • There is no text book rule for small drum rooms, but because drums have lots of low frequency energy (which is more difficult to control) 3 or 4" thick panels are not out of the question. Fiberglass panels always shed while you are cutting and handling them. Once you've enclosed them inside a fabric covered box, there should not be an issue with fibers "escaping."

  • what size thikness would you recomend for a small drum room?

also is there any risk of the fibreglass fibres being released into the air?

  • thanks a mill!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Excellent tutorial, especially the information about which fabrics are acceptable..."If you can breathe through the fabric" is a great way to say it! Thanks!!

  • Awesome information
