I was a Sousaphone player in The Pride in 1967. This was the year of the FIRST circle drill and we were the ones who introduced it under the direction of W.J. Julian, one of the greatest Bandmasters in modern times. I'll never forget when they first gave us the charts with circles on them. We thought it would be impossible, but we pulled it off! Rocky Top had not been written yet. The most frequently played song was Dixie. Nobody can challenge this statement. I was there and I lived it.

Seeing the faces of the other band and their fans after we perform this show:
Priceless

I can't imagine how many hours they spend on the practice field to march that well

Awe... I'm an Alum Pride member. I was lucky enough to work with John for 2 years. What a great man. The Pride was one of the best things I've ever been part of. Glad they still rock!!! :)
