Gene Odom visits an old place of Ronnie Van Zants

A short clip from the Jukin With Gene documentary.
Gene reminisces about some history of Ronnie Van Zant while he fishes at Lake Delancey where Ronnie caught the famed "big bass".

Look for the bird to fly off into the sunset at the end of this clip....it was the last shot of the day....quite fitting for the story I'd say....

i have a question... would you consider Rickey Medlocke an original member? since he was on the Muscle Shoals First and Last... and since he is featured in a few photo's and is lead vocals on acouple songs? what do you think? Thanks for your time. :) -Coop-

Did Gene Odom travel with Skynyrd when they toured back in the 70's?If he did,what was his responsibilities?Gene seems like a very nice man.I remember reading about him when i bought a book about the band a few years ago.
