I forgot to mention , for the screen and overlay effects. For the screen effect, you set the blurred layer to screen and for the overlay, you set the blurred layer to overlay.

this is for the outer glow,i put my background on my picture with a new layer,than i try to put the outerglow on but it wont show,i tried w/o a new layer still nothing,sorry if im confusing you in anyway,i just got photoshop cs3
