Produced for the Shaping the Constitution Web portal at the Library of Virginia's Digital Collections Web site, Virginiamemory.com:
Tom Camden, the director of Special Collections, displays the Library's rare copy of an 1818 printing of the Declaration of Independence. He discusses the circumstances of the document's printing as well as his suspicion that this particular document might have actually belonged to Thomas Jefferson. See close-ups of the document, including the near-perfect, facsimile signatures.
