For the sixth year, American Airlines and the Dallas Mavericks joined together to provide first-class sports action to the nation's military heroes. The annual Seats for Soldiers event took place on Saturday, December 12 at the American Airlines Center.
AA provided the charter flight to DFW from San Antonio. Flight attendants and crew donated their time for this special event and AAs food and beverage donated refreshments. Additionally, the soldiers flew aboard Flagship Freedom, the yellow ribbon 757 American unveiled on Veterans Day 2008 in support of all who serve.
Upon arrival at DFW Airport, the group enjoyed a hearty dinner at Abacus. After the game, soldiers had the opportunity to meet and have their photo taken with the Mavs Dancers and Mavs ManiAAcs, as well as players and coaches from both teams.

A Houston family says American Airlines charged a soldier for a bag that should have been exempt from fees.
maybe they should change their name to UnAmerican Airlines.
