  • lol gold at record highs, oil rising, dollar falling. Deflation - ye sure looks like it. What the deflationists arent factoring in is the velocity of money increase which will be ferocious as people realise their wealth is being confiscated to bail out the too big to fails. They will be rushing for the exits. I can see it starting already. At the moment it is but a trickle compared to the raging torrent that it will undoubtedly become. There is no way back. Prepare!

  • Sure, the unemployment rate may go back down to 4%, but what the govt will fail to tell you is all the new jobs created are 10k a year nonsense service jobs with no benefits or anything. The only way jobs will come back to America is if our dollar collapses and we cant afford foreign products. Then we will have to produce stuff here. Its that simple. Globalization must end if we are to get employment back in this country. If not, the hot money will just move from country to country forever.

  • Max Keiser, you need better audio. It's hurting my ears.

  • you are so right...If the dollar is worthless, what good does insurance do?

  • after 8 years of bushgeddon

    just continuing the pain

  • Exactly!

    Back to regionalism!

Here's a tip for governments to get unemployment numbers back to zero with "jobs":

Take 10 million workers out to dig a hole for 8 hours, drive them back, let them eat & sleep and drive them back out to fill up the hole, they dug out a day before.

That's some meaningful job creation, huh...?

  • Ultimately inflation will take down this system. All fiat ends the same way.

  • That's a still of Mish, in case you didn't know.

  • It won't be a 30s style depression because we have Food Stamps? So we'll be standing in line for Food Stamps instead of soup. A distinction without a difference---thanks Mish!

  • He seems to be happy when he says, "It looks grim!"

  • I don't think you should pro-debtor. Most of them took 3rd mortgages on their houses to buy trucks. Both banks and debtors should be either broke or in jail.
