@TheInmoralFlame Actually, you have to input 236+whatever attack button. To avoid it you have to press 214+whatever attack button.

@charlesajones77 I destroyed Baiken on the first try the first time I battled her. Talk about anticlimactic. Now I beat her almost everyday with Ky, but back then, it was an exploit for me, I even partied with my bro.

God fucking damn it!! this game is unbalanced!!! I prefer the sequels over this because they don;t have balancing issues.

I absolutely despised the destroy system in this game. The game would have been 10x better if there had been an option to disable it.
How screwed up is it? I once destroyed Justice, by accident. The only time I ever saw it work on Justice incidentally.

It's on purpose. Ishiwatari Daisuke, the person who invented the whole Guilty Gear series is highly influenced by heavy metal and rock music.
Not only is there a character for Axel Rose, there are characters called Testament and Slayer (band names). There are special moves called Ride The Lightning (Metallica album) and Napalm Death (band).
Also, the game's soundtrack consists of hard rock tracks played by Ishiwatari Daisuke.
