A silly original song detailing some of the reasons I chose to attend Anderson University, accompanied by some related visuals. Hopefully an A project! Lyrics: In the early 1900's there was a Holiness movement,
Where camp meetings would gather in the holiest of tents,
So the church of God was praying and at the sound of an amen,
They resolved to build a school there and they called it Anderson.
My dad graduated in 1979,
He met an underclassman who tried keeping him in line.
She was majoring in theatre, he was in the SOT,
When he finally up and asked her, "Jenni, will you marry me?"
And she said yes.
That's how it went.
So both my folks were ravens, that's the way it's always been,
'Cause my dad's dad went there also, and his father before him.
It seems Anderon was calling from the day that I was born,
But I never thought I'd go to school in a field of corn,
But its where I go.
That's not the only reason though.
I love it back in Florida, but there is no other way,
To learn both about music and our Lord in the same day,
Then at a place where Jesus stays a part of everything,
But I can at AU and that's why I sing:
"Anderson our alma mater, guide of soul and mind,
Thou hast taught within the borders to aid all mankind.
So for this thy noble purpose may our best avail,
Friend of all that's good and upright, hail to the all hail."
I hope that I have conveyed t' you,
The reasons I came to AU.
