A marines squad attempts a morning assault on a town in the beautiful Drago island, surprising the local Russian patrol.

This is a live-action capture from the game Operation Flashpoint: Resistance.

do i need SLX 2.5 to get the maps and soldiers to look like that?

Soldiers are from FFUR-SLX (Marines though, not Army). The map is different, but you can get similar textures/vegetation for the regular maps by using WGL texture replacement pack or AEC islands pack (search Filefront)

How do they create maps? what program?

The terrain can be created with a couple of tools (see Bohemia Interactive's wiki). Missions are created with the in-game editor.

Yes, but this game is almost dead. See ArmA 2 if you have a powerful computer, it's the successor for OFP.

I remember playing one of the night missions with an enemy tank rolling around me while I was laying in the grass. I remember the lights on the tank, the rumbling from my speakers, and the strange feeling I got in my groin of all places. It was true and honest fear. Amazing game...

@infernal69warfare try to uninstall 2.0 then a clean installation of 2.5. i tried with just 2.5 and it worked for me. also check to see if you game is patched and graphics cards are up to date.

@nooblet911 no, but you probably could use a map editor to remove all the vegetation except for the grass or something if the editor allows it.

someone could tell me how I can run the FFUR-SLX 2007 2.5 because when I finish to install and start the mod does not come out anything and I have installed the 2.0 version could tell me I have to do to play thanks

@superbroombroom its the amount of vegetation like the grass and trees. if there is too many trees or patches of grass or whatever. i know its a month old comment but i have the same problem too. sometimes if there is a lot of AI or bots the computer, trying to create and move and also since the AI is updated with new tactics and voices, it will slow the computer down since it uses more CPU than the original OFP.
