@kevin112191983 Wildland firefighters are badass, as well as city firefighters. But don't ever call a wildland firefighter a wannabe. A wildland firefighter will see more fire in a season than a city firefighter will in a LIFETIME. Wildland firefighting is brutal and intense. They are hardcore. You can go ahead and go to college and drink your frappachinos. I personally would rather be out in the field doing WORK!!

@kevin112191983 LOL, I was a firefighter for the Forest service. Now I work for a city department. The best firefighters i've ever worked with are from the FS. They actually fight fires all the time. Unlike the city departments that sit on thier asses responding to fasle alarms for a living while getting fat while watching tv. You are just an ignorant fuck who couldn't hack the hard work or the level of training and education needed for the job. BTW, most have college degrees. LOL.

Nothing large. They were just in the area as part of a protection detail. There were actually several groups, both air and ground, stationed around Alpine, Marfa and Ft Davis in case any fires broke out.
