Music clips culled from the season 3 episode of "The Wild Wild West" entitled "The Night of the Firebrand" in which agent James West (actor Robert Conrad) is riding his horse fast to avoid Indians and join Fort Savage, then escaping with asleep Sheila 'Vixen' O'Shaugnessy (actress Lana Wood) in the back of the dynamites-laden wagon the gang of revolutionary Sean O'Reilley (actor Pernell Roberts) and finally with his side-kick Artemus Gordon (actor Ross Martin) still escaping O'Reilley's gang and split up. Notice the fast-paced rhythmic trade mark of composer Richard Shores who uses triangle and percussions as in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." episodes from the same period.

  • Best musical cue ever done for a western tv show!!!

  • One of the show's best scores (no wonder Shores was the only composer to work on all four seasons). Too bad this doesn't have the cue for the end of act 1 (to go with the freeze-frame of Artie and pals drinking) which got tracked into seemingly half that season's episodes!

  • Beautifully edited. Shore's work added an indispensable element to the action sequences of the show. You captured the essence of it excellently.

  • Great stuff. Shores had a hugely recognisable style.
