Bob Inglis (R) SC Town Hall Travelers Rest SC 8/18/09

Bob Inglis went on record tonight and stated he stands by his vote on HR 1424. He denied any knowledge of a threat of martial law even though its documented and I provided the info on Paulson admitting it and Rep Brad Sherman.

He said he did vote for it because he believed the entire global economy would fall into total chaos. He said he would not apologize and stood by it.

I attended the Bob Inglis town hall meeting tonight in his hometown of Travelers Rest SC. Overall it was a very civil event. A lot of good questions were asked about healthcare. I filmed portions of it but couldnt get it all I went to question him on his vote for the first TARP bill. I was able to ask him about it.
I pointed out in my statement and question that Ron Paul called it economic terrorism and pointed out that Rep Brad Sherman stated on record congress was threatened with martial law if they voted no on the TARP. 57 conservatives changed their vote between the first vote and the second when it passed.
He acted as if I was making it up about Rep Shermans statement which you will see me question him about after the meeting.
I pointed out Congress was receiving 1,000-1 calls against the TARP.
I pointed Americans dont think its working. In a recent CNN poll 80% said its not.
I pointed out its unconstitutional and that Paulson is a CEO of Goldman Sachs and directly received money from the bailouts and let their competitors fail.
I then asked him when we would receive our check from TARP because he said we would be making a whole lot of money off of it. He dodged that one.
The questions you see were not directly answered by Inglis but written down. Thats why there is no response in the other clips.
If anyone has video of this event would please send it to me so I can better document his statements regarding his vote on TARP and denial of Rep Shermans comments. Thanks.

Listen, Obama had nothing to do with the Martial Law thing. Read up. That was a pact which began with Hitler and the former generations of Bushes. Martial Law plan contract was being drafted up in the 1970s, when he was a little boy, waaayyyyyyyy before he even thought of running for president. I attended the Bob Inglis town hall in Piedmont Monday night and I got the impression that he is just another sleezy politician spewing out words that he thinks the people want to hear. I say we go to Washington and kick them ALLLL out... dems and republicans! We need to bring common sense back to Washington.
