  • I was actually considering the first chapter of Romans. Think about this. Wouldn't you think that God(the Christian one) would have a hand in the writings of the book that would be the chief textbook of the ENTIRE religion??

  • wow, i really sound like NightVisionPhantom in the beginning

  • Yes, it does talk about slavery, but the thing is, the idea of slavery has been tainted by, you guessed it, Americans. I believe slavery in the sense of America's slavery is wrong. About the emperors changing it, I don't necessarily believe that they changed it, but i do believe they took it out of context. Ex. the crusades, the holocaust etc.

  • But the bible doesn't say slavery is wrong, it tells you from where you should get your slaves. And this is the same Book as the one with the comment about homosexuality. Don't you think that you just pick the chapters you want to believe in and forget about the other ones?

Concerning history of the bible: What I meant was that it often got changed by emperors to get the people to do what they want. Thats also reason why there are pagan elements in the christian culture. Think about it. :-)

  • First of all thanks for the video!

Maybe I took some conclusions too quickly but still I think that seeing homosexuality as a sin because of the bible has at least a fundamentalist touch. I guess you refer to the 3rd Book of Moses concerning homosexuality. But have you read the whole book? There are very chapters that talk very positive about slavery. I guess nowadays in most "christian countries" slavery is banned and we are happy about that.
