To me, the old Toonami shows were perfectly American. Yeah, I know most of them were English-dubbed Japanese animes, but I mean they were American in spirit. They were hopeful, inspirational, energetic, meaningful, poignant... with characters and stories about perseverance in the face of evil, self-reliance. Pretty much that pioneering American spirit.
But what's on today is just vacuous shit, I'll agree with you there.

DANG were did my childhood go i feel like i didnt even get to enjoy all this stuff i remeber it all like it just happened deja vu but man kills me and tears me up to see how time has gone by! the memories in those days didnt have a care in the world man just kicked back and watched toonami do its thing and dreamed that anything was possible like going to space! thanks outlaw star and THANK YOU TOONAMI!!!!!!! =(......how i miss you now!
