Maridia... I can still remember everything about my surroundings when I got through section. It was snowing out, that scent that comes out of the heater and the cracks the house makes when it turns on.
The memories that games can give you. What a day that was.

Please make "Surface Of SR388" from Metroid II :D

This... is... gorgeous. My hat is off to you, Dummeh. This is phenomenal. Consider me subscribed.

oh wow, i was just thinking of requesting this song, and i look over, and here it is!

This track tends to be ignored for some reason, but I think it's one of the more stand-out tracks from the game, and even the series in general. It combines a wonderful atmospheric effect with a memorable melody, and really adds a lot to the late-Maridia experience. The other Maridia track is excellent as well, and also for some reason infrequently redone.

Ah upper Maridia, your Mt. Doom still makes me rage (the annoying grapple are)

It's still frightening...
But wow. It sounds really good!

@dummeh I see. But when the day comes that they can make good video game movies (Other than Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva), you should get first dibs on composer.

My first time here wasn't long ago (I discovered Super Metroid unfortunately late), but I found Maridia to be... as mysterious as this song makes it out to be. Beautiful song.
Any specific reason you're not hired to make movie soundtracks?

@MoldyPond I'm hired to develop games instead. Maybe once they invent cloning I can spin off an instance of me that can compose

you favor violin pizccato a lot do you

@SVAFnemesis I like it, but it's no staccato trombone :D Were you implying that from this track? The plucking in this one is a concert harp. I do tend to use pizzicato violins quite a bit in others, though.

Hey Dummeh, what reverb do you use? Is it Altiverb? Your songs always sound so airy -- I love it!

@normantran2011 Thanks, glad you like. I don't actually use reverb all that much - in this piece, it's all the samples with their natural mic settings (I use the stage mics for tonal instruments, far for percussive). Any time I need reverb I just use the build in FL Studio algorithmic one.
