http://www.thebestexercises.com - This is a barbell version of the incline curl. Instead of letting dumbells hang down behind you, you'll be using a barbell that starts setting on your lap. Curl it up from there. This puts a unique stress on the biceps, especially the lower aspect.

  • I love this exercise. For me it is the best bicep exercise exept the inset superset nilson curls/bbcurl.Hey nick, what about mixing barbell curl with this one in an inset superset?!

  • You could definitely do that - you'd have to stand up and sit down in between reps but that's not really a hardship. Give it a try and let me know what you think - that's a really good idea.

  • Damn Nilsson you really are the exercise mad scientist!!! I done this before with dumbells, but you really feel the burn with the barbell. Wow you have so many exercises that seem so logical but no one ever comes up with the idea.

  • yep, I didn't get that name by accident! It's amazing how well that one works. I know what you mean about logical - whenever I come up with one like this I'm like why didn't I think of it sooner!

  • I'll have to try this one next time I do my biceps. Looks like it really does the job.
