Like most towns in Maine, Falmouth's growth is guided by its Comprehensive Plan.
This is a document that covers topics such as housing, natural resources, economic development, transportation, and much more. It spells out the Town's major policies and actions that should be undertaken to implement them.
Once every ten years or so, this plan is updated. Currently, the Town's Long Range Plan Advisory Committee is working to do just that - create an updated Comprehensive Plan for Falmouth as it could be 10 years from now.
This committee of thirteen citizen volunteers has started to collect facts, community input, and general ideas to frame its priorities.
The updated plan is to be delivered in 2011 and will include an open process with community participation.
Right now the committee has posted a short survey on the Town's website. Just three questions are asked of Falmouth citizens:
1. From 0 (least) - 10 (most), would you recommend Falmouth as a town to call home, or have a business in, to a friend or colleague?
2. Why did you give that score?
3. What needs to change to increase your score?
The Town is interested to hear what YOU have to say.
We invite you to go to the http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Z6MSGZS
to take the short survey.
