  • For those of you using this as a tutorial for a ramp start, please note the following errors on my part:

    - I accidentally started up the right engine first. Usually start the left first, OR you pull the emergency brake if you must start with the right. - You should turn the bleed air switch on after turning on the APU.

    - Normally you turn on the radios before engine start. Also, I set them to direction-finding mode instead of transmit/receive mode.

    - EAC and canopy switches inop in beta.

  • FRAPS set to fullscreen recording at my monitor's max resolution (1920x1080). I have an i7 920 (3.5 GHz) and a Radeon HD 5870 with 6 GB of RAM, so unless I'm looking at trees, there's generally no stutter.

Fraps video took up 38GB; I moved it over to my MacBook and opened it in QuickTime to split it into two movies. I then encoded it as H.264 at 1080p, for a total size of 850 MB. Uploaded it to YouTube in two parts.

The key is H.264 -- best encoding for 1080p.

  • @wehrmacht39

Grafics wont make it at all.. Rest is really lowest edge...

You should consider getting a new PC if you're into flight simulation.. its not exaclty gaming machine what you have, and those flightsims are really hungry for power.

  • @wehrmacht39 Sadly no, Arma (1) should be ok!

But you can search for something called GMABooster it will help ! (no risk)

  • Will this pc handle this game or Arma 2?

    Processor Type: Intel Celeron 450

    Hard Drive Size: 320GB

    Processor - Clock Speed: 2.2GHz

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Graphics Type: Intel GMA X4500 HD

    System Ram: 2GB

  • great video! Can't wait till I buy my new PC so I can run this beast

  • Could you describe the procedure you used to get that excellent quality and high FPS video?

FRAPS or the Record AVI tool?

    Any editing? What software?

Using what codec was the file uploaded to YT compressed (video and audio)?

    I'd appreciate your response.

  • A big +1 and added to my 'sim... Warthog' playlist!
