Moriah School has spent two years collecting 1.5 million buttons - thats one button for every child who died in the Holocaust. They have now designed a memorial sculpture that uses the buttons in the walls of a maze. In this video the children talk about thier project and show a computer image of their memorial design.
Very well done Moriah School! This is an excellent video from the point of view of technical production and the sensitive and well-spoken participation of the children. It deserves a wide audience. Good luck with competing the project.

Wonderful video on a great project. I found the video (as I am in Wellington Jewish community I knew the project of course) from being a facebook 'friend' of Aase in Norway so electronic communications have some splendid effects tho sometimes...! Aase is a friend of Vera Eggermeyer (who is in the video of course) and put it on her facebook page. Great to spread the word

Wow. Moriah School you have certainly put learning into a very real experience for these children. It is great to see this visual representation showing the beginnings of where your call for buttons came from, as I had heard about it through an online group I am part of. I hope you all get the chance to see through this project and that many people experience that "heart" moment as they stand in amongst the buttons and think...
