@deniseaustinlover ohh ok. Weird. Maybe to save gas? Haha. My dad has an 88 240, automatic. If we return it to stock as planned i'd like to add a turbo, jus for fun.

I've owned 4 Volvo 245 GLTs (turbos) down through the years. Two were automatics and two were with the M46 manual transmission. Two were intercooled and two were not. The automatics all upshifted (at wide open throttle) in the first two gears from 4,100 to 4,500 RPM. I never could figure out why. If you put the levers into 1st or 2nd you could rev it up to redline but when left in drive they always upshifted early. The M46s were far nicer and got them off the line much quicker.

Jw, but why'd you shift under 4k if you were doing a 0-60?

It may not be the fastest thing, but hey guys the things last forever. You can probably even go 600,000 with regular maintenance.

I think daryl was referring to it not being straight in the middle. That is normal position for a Volvo engine unless you have used a non standard thermostat. Volvo specifies that it read dead in the middle when warmed up and not deviate from it.

im not even sure if your trying to show off your 11 second car but.... its not working.

If you could read the other comments or the description you could see that the car has issues. I.E. no boost. Look at my other videos for a correctly working 24x turbo.
