BLTV film critic Tim Estiloz takes a look at "Planet 51", a new animated film from Madrid, Spain. In this entertaining family offering, American astronaut Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker lands on Planet 51 thinking he's the first person to step foot on it. To his surprise, he finds that this planet is inhabited by little green people who are happily living in a retro, white picket fence world, and whose only fear is that it will be overrun by alien invaders...like Chuck. "Planet 51" is a Pixar - like homage to 1950's fun nostalgia and science fiction cinema that a fun adventure for both young and old alike.

Normally I am totally against movies that are piggy-backing off the success of similar-genre movies (Up's "Whats Up"...etc.)
However, this movie was actually funny and entertaining to watch! I went with my nephew and niece so I can make sure it was appropriate, and despite a few risque jokes...it was a good movie!!
Cliche' ending, but my younglings loved it, which makes it successfull in my book.
Not that my opinion matters, but I give it a 4/5 for it's respective genre. Good job. :)
