The 2600 was not meant for these sorts of games, it's better for arcade-type games. It doesn't work well on it.

@sglider okay. then the superhero games in the 16-bit era were much better than this crap. sorry, but games didn't start showing ingenuity until the 8-bit era.

Who's comparing Superman for the Atari 2600 to arcades at the same time? I was talking about most superhero games for the Genesis/SNES. Most of them were just side scrolling beat em ups with no thought to other gameplay elements at all. Not sure how you liking arcade games from 1979/1980 more than the 2600s "garbage" relates at all.

@sglider oh yeah, I must be 12. yeah, it seems like an uncommon statement to say that some people thought the atari 2600 was unplayable garbage compared to the arcades around at the same time.
