  • in over 35 years a scarier film hasn't came out.

  • They did the trailer so much better then. It hid all of the scariest parts and made you almost wonder what they were talking about because it didn't really show but a glimpse of Reagan throughout the whole shot.

    Scary stuff.

    Scariest movie ever made.

And you can quote me on that one.

  • @Rayarena he was an announcer for everything back then. I think he announced Planet of the Apes Movies.

  • this scared the shit out of me I was 7 years old. The clip would always air at night just before I was going to bed to get ready for school

  • @shitmanoc Yeah, The Exorcist and others such as Halloween, Friday the 13th, The Shining, Creepshow, The Thing, The Evil Dead, A Nightmare on Elm Street, etc. are some of the true horror classics that will never die.

  • @TheAltair4 quite a few people have said it to me dude and i know it prob me favorite horror after Halloween..

  • @shitmanoc That's funny. I've never heard anyone say that this was a SHIT film. It may not be scary to some but it's still a damn good movie nevertheless.

  • evreyone says this film isn't scary and it's shit im 19 and i have found it terrifying since i were about 6 lol

  • They could,nt have picked a better actress to play the mom Ellen Burstyn was perfect for that role.

  • @MVR326 I agree with your observations. Me and my girlfriend watched this movie last week and sure enough it took me right back to 1974 as that same frightened kid. It didn't keep me up at night but I still had those same freaky-deaky feelings as the first time during some scenes.

I think because the subject was treated seriously and with respect by the makers of the movie; the way the story progressed was pure genius.

I wonder if the movie has the same effect the more jaded younger crowd.

  • @buck62sugar I look at the mindless crap now , SAW, Friday the 13th part 293, etc..and its nothing that law enforcement cant take care of, and just throw these assholes in the slammer for good.

But THE EXORCIST deals with something we really dont know alot about, the presence of evil manifesting ? where is the fine line between good and evil?? Still for me, the scariest movie I have ever seen.
