  • @sfuchs The difference between sealants and wax, is that sealants, being non biodegradable and synthetic hold up much better after application. They are typically made from silicone fluids, which come from quartz crystal, and when a benzene ring is added, become whats called "amino-functional".. meaning that it cross-link bonds to the finish. This is what gives sealants their lasting ability. Sorry, I didn't see if you ever got a response to your query.

  • I assume the "magic" caustic gatorade eats away the top layer of grime?

  • WOW!!!!!! eastern bunny finally came thru!!!! produce candy from his eggs!!!! This is the solution to the worlds energy crisis

  • gatorade?

  • This is called Liquid Number 2 or the "Magic Liquid" or "Fruit Punch Gatorade" which ever you prefer....honestly...a Gatorade bottle?...

  • "I´m just gonna poure a little bit on the rag" and the rest on the ground :)

  • @sfuchs i use jet seal just cause i like chemical guys products. people will argue their sealant isnt as good as others but i havent been able to test multiple sealants yet so i cannot say for sure but it is expensive.

global reaches video is way too good to be true. like SoKo said its probably oil. you need to remove the layer of oxidied plastic off before it become clear.

  • @zjumps33 Much thanks for your info. You must be in the field, othewise you would not know these details. I looked them up and found JetSeal is at least twice as expensive as the other two. Is it also that much superior quality wise?

What do you think of Mr Ray's video up here (by globereach)? It sounds too good to be true. He needs to be doing some sort of trick or something... What's your take?

  • @sfuchs wax will work but there are sealants made specifically for plastics or car paint. an example would be JetSeal from Chemical Guys, Gariots One Step Sealant, Meguairs M21 synthetic sealant. they pretty much just protect paint or plastic from oxidation and UV damage for about a year. the best protection is always keeping headlights clean from industrial fall out and waxing every few months to avoid using specifically made sealants for protection.
