TTC 4549

A ride aboard TTC St. Louis Car Company PCC (President's Confrence Car) #4549 on the 509 Harbourfront route in between Queens Quay (Ferry Docks) Station and Rees Street. During the summer, the TTC usually puts this car along with its counterpart 4500 in service on long weekends (Canada Day, Civic (Simcoe) Holiday, Labour Day). This streetcar was active in revenue service from 1951 to the mid-1990s. Currently it is primarily used for charters, tours, movie and commerical shoots. This car is featured in the hit movie musical, Hairspray, which was filmed in Toronto in subsititute for Baltimore.
