The Temple Mount is the most sacred and contested real estate on earth. Yet it is also a physical place in the center of a city -- and the center of a century of conflict between Jews and Arabs. Gershom Gorenberg, an American-born journalist who has lived in Jerusalem since 1977, ponders if God's mountain can ever become a symbol of peace. Series: Herman P. and Sophia Taubman Endowed Symposia in Jewish Studies [2/2008] [Humanities] [Show ID: 13978]

  • @iorixs YOU SAID...."Israel has no credibility......"

You Mohammadeans are free of sin? Do you know what sin is?

Jus' Askin' ... 'cause Mohammad was a sinner and you hold him up as the perfect man...worthy of example.

  • A very intelligent and informative lecture. I appreciate the objectivity (as much as humanly possible) by the journalist speaker Gershon Gorenberg, in presenting a very touchy subject, historicaly and at the present time. Let's learn to respect one another no matter what our beliefs are.

  • I was one of those "Late Great Planet Earth" kids in high school, lol! Sorry, ya'll.

  • If anyone is genuinely interested in this subject I suggest you purchase Gorenberg's book 'The End of Days'. Personally I found it very interesting.

  • @786LILJOKER .Matthew 6:9-13. The prayer Jesus taught us to say. 9"This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11Give us today our daily bread. 12Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one

Thats where your wrong aswel, earth was created not to be heaven, and so heaven is not supposed to be on earth. Thats why we have revelations sent down on how we should live our lives here on earth.

  • @786LILJOKER ....Between the "crazies" in Iran; the "nut" in N. Korea and the mess in Af-Pak...who knows ???

All three of the monotheist religions have end-time events scheduled around the ME and Jerusalem. One of them is right; the other two are wrong.

Only the LORD knows who is right. Hashem is in control. HIs will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

  • he talks like a little girl faggot

  • @BoudiccaBlanc

Thats where you are wrong, you see, when the time will come we will be fighting not just for the al aqsa mosque, not just the temple mount, but for our religion and beliefs, and at the time - for our life, when the false messiah comes then we shall be oppressed, so we will be fighting for our contries and families also.

  • @786LILJOKER ....Somehow, I don't think that a pile of rocks or a physical building of cut rocks is worth dying for...jmo.

    Defending my family? Yes!

Defending my country from invasion? Maybe...Probably yes.

But a pile of cut stone and rocks...NEVER!

  • "Knock knock. Who's There ? Jesus"

(Think about it. ... Do you think that time is short?)

The third temple (not the al-asqa mosque or dome of the rock) will be confirmation that the end is near....Are YOU ready to meet your Maker (i.e. G-d)?
