1.Why would you want to stand on an ominous floating pile of gold anyway?
2.Maybe Dracula pays the arcitect(did I spell that right?)of his castle.

It's spelled architect, but those are valid points. Floating gold might be impossible, but I wouldn't jump on this in real life. I don't know if Dracula's castle is made by someone rather than by magic though since it was revealed in Symphony of the Night that it is constantly changing.
