During the weekend of October 15th & 16th, the Chicago Architecture Foundation presented OpenHouseChicago--a free event that opened the doors to Chicago's greatest places and spaces that are normally closed to the public. This video is of the projection room of Apollo's 2000 Theater in Little Village which has been virtually untouched since the early 1900's. Shot with 8mm App

  • Thank you for posting. I wish you would have shown more of the projectors. BTW, your statement that this stuff dates from the early 1900's is wrong. Magnarc carbon arc lamps are probably from the 30's or 40's. Can't see the projectors but probably they are similar vintage. The 4-track magnetic stereo penthouses are mid 50's.

    That 8mm App is really lame and dare I say childish. Some people's idea of "the film look" is scratches, dirt, and jumpiness? All it does is annoy the viewer.
