The BC Day long weekend in Canada gave us a chance to head south and camp at Ocean City State Park on the Washington State coastline. After a long liveup at the border and a 5 hour drive, we unpacked and headed to the beach. Families frolicking on the beach, kids playing in the sand, dogs chasing after sticks...and what the heck?? cars driving everywhere! Good lord, every man, women, child and dog for themselves! Trucks and cars tearing up the sand and going 40 km/hr too!! After a while, it seemed that people watch where they are driving (although I gotta figure there must be a fatality from time to time!). But anyways, curiousity got the cat, and I HAD to drive before the end of our camping trip. At the entrance to the beach access is where it was busiest, and we where passed by several vehicles including speedsters on mopeds. All in all, a cool experience that I had to say I did! Here's the video to prove it!

  • long beach is cold! we swam in the water.

  • Yeah, our beaches are pretty fun. Just a FYI, the speed on our beach (which is also classified as a state highway) in Washington is 25mph.

  • I love it.
