I rewired my CV 50's Tele last week as an Esquire. Used Orange Drop caps, CTS pots, and all that junk, and a volume mod, a treble retention thing.

This is just a clean demo to show the different positions as I use them. First is the switch all the way back, taking the tone out of the circuit. Next is middle, but I rolled the tone down about halfway. Notice that it doesn't lose any definition. Last is the switch all the way forward, which runs the pickup through some caps to give it a fixed roll off kind of tone, with a bit of volume loss.

Amp is a Peavey Classic 20, run through an Egnater 112 cab, miked with an SM57 run into Garageband. No effects, no post editing. Stock guitar other than the wiring. This was an extremely low volume recording.

Hopefully I will get a distortion version of this demo up next week or so, because that is where this guitar really owns, IMHO
