Oh for the days when all trains were blue and white! :) I nearly bought a house in Belper in the early 90's. There were just one or two of the Demus around then. I remember when they got up to speed - they almost shook themselves to bits!
I'm afraid I know nothing about trains and stumbled upon this video by accident, but the unique sound of the doors closing on that deisel commuter train took me right back to an earlier era. Thanks for posting.
Bloody hell, not much under 14 years before I was born and the Peaks were still in regular traffic! Im glad theres more Duffs still made it into this century too. If only I was born earlier...
Great video...how times have changed...the classic exhaust from the DMU was great plus when did you last see a mixed goods complete with brake van? I know Belper well and always thought it would be a good station to model..
Now that is the Peak sound that I remember!
