New rule: if you don't think science is reliable, you aren't allowed to use any scientific...anything. No electronics, no automobiles, no modern medicine. You only get to use what they use in your holy book: hand-made candles and oil lamps, camel caravans and your own 2 feet, and superstitious bullshit medicine.

Teaching creationism in schools is like teaching astrology on an astronomy course, alchemy in a chemistry class, magic in physics class.
Ignorant people should get their blood-stained hands out of modern education and let the human race flourish; we aren't toiling in the desert anymore, grow the fuck up.

@Antimidation Yes, unfortunately some people in the public eye are literally stuck in their position. They could never accept the evidence and say, "I was wrong." because of the implications such a statement would bring. Not to mention the fact that their fans actually like how they are unwavering in their conviction. So they think its a good thing to be thick. There are so many psychological aspects that go into the nature of a belief.

@UnderlordZ Technology is actually just applied science. EVERY single invention ever is a form of technology. A pencil is technology. Those candles are technology. Crude tools...yep, technology. The truth is that every human ever loves applied science...yet religious people use it and then bash it whenever it goes against their personal oppinion. There is no greater form of hypocrisy. Its like a tween tweeting, "Science ish so dum cuz it believes we come frum monkies!!!1" on their iphone

The only fair comparison between evolution and creation. They are both words in the English language. That's pretty much it.

@Hyperplaterine That is generally correct in regards to common understanding. My opponent here had mistakenly assumed that I was inferring that biological classification is arbitrary, when in reality I was merely stating that the former (and to a degree still current) system of classification was outdated and often creates needless misunderstandings as a result of its ambiguous standards.

@CommanderC4 I was under the impression that monkeys have tails and apes don't.
-
@NefariousVirtuoso88 ... let me correct your comment.
Evolution: I am an ape. I am ok with that.
Creationism: I think like a monkey. I am ok with that.

I really liked the argument that "scienc is not democratic". How true.

The biggest problem a lot of people who simply don't accept evolution is the simple fact that they DO NOT accept the evidence, they simply deny it. The more open minded, logical, objective, and reasonable people are the ones you can convince....not the truth deniers. They are never going to bend on what they have been poisoned with....like Ray Comfort for example, he just plays dumb when you actually present him with evidence. Also, he can't afford to accept evolution, he's stuck.

@1rishShaman Thanks, I like it because it has so many different meanings. I'm a drummer, so phoenetically it makes sense. It's also a play on the word Rock Band (it's actually my xbox live band name for Rock Band 2 lol).
Plus I've had people say "so you're like really anti crack or something?" so lol there's that too.

@RockBanned Haha nice. I got the Rock Band part of it. Was just playing it (Bad Omen/Black Friday/Caprici Di Diablo) before I got online but can only do like 1 song at a time or the same one over and over in practice. Took it out of the case a few weeks ago and the inner circle of the game cracked -.-'
