A camera vertex parented to a softbody which uses the goal of an armature. Controlling the armature in pose mode moves the softbody which in turn moves the camera.

This version is the Open GL version, rendered within blender.

  • NICE- ive been trying to do it but it doesnt work properly, the camera doesnt jiggle, it goes PHYSCO- could u make a vid tut PLEASE

lol im going for my 5th try on this

  • You've got to clear the cache every time you redo your keyframes. ie, if you made your softbody before you made your armature and parented it, you should clear your cache.

You can also get away with a 3 vert softbody.

By the way, the only reason I use an armature instead of contsantly moving the softbody itself is because you can change the way the bone is displayed. This makes for ease of use when animating.

  • Ok, clear cache it is, and how do i do that by the way? Sorry, but thanks for all your help, the final product looks great,

Oh one more thing, how do you render in OpenGL?

  • If you bake your softbody and then change your keyframes, you must rebake your softbody. I'm not sure why you would be having trouble with your softbody going "psycho." Perhaps it's that your softbody object is rotated? Select your softbody object in object mode and hit ALT+R, if it rotates, go into edit-mode and move the verts how you want them. If that doesn't work, PM me.
