Retford and Sheffield Railway Station

In this video, you will witness what happens everyday throughout Retford and Sheffield.

Firstly is a trip to the ECML, Retford. This station is situated in Nottinghamshire. Operated by National Express East Coast. Although it is a staffed station, not many services stop. With Hull Trains, NXEC and Northern rail stopping at this station. In this video we witness passing HSTs, DVTs and 91s.

Our next visit is Sheffield. Located in Norton in the county of Sheffield.Operated by East Midlands Trains, services include Northern Rail, Transpennie Express and East Midlands. Hosts a variety of commuters from local to intercity and from semi fast to stoppers. In this video, we see local commuters plus voyagers and off course an intercity which is usually operated by a HST 125 but today it was a 6 car 222. Includes a very claggy 144 pacer working a Huddlesfield service.

when i have seen the national express east coast timetable Retford station looks poorly served. something like 1 every 2 hours one way and one every 2 hours the other way.

Most of the services there are the Northern trains to Lincoln and Huddesfield I thnk

Leeds train calls at retford. Northern Rail operate an hour service for Lincoin and Adwick/Scunthrope via Sheffield and Doncaster.

Ant idea how much it will cost for a ticket , from sheffeild to retford , and then back ??

My ticket was from St helens to retford and that was £16 (child)

So approx i would say £6 child, £10 adult but i could to wrong.

Very nice video mate. I love sheffield :) and I really hate the class 144 brakes, they always screech really loudly.
